    Whether you are looking for a new way to get fit, lose weight and tone up, learn an exciting new skill, build confidence, or meet new people, whatever the reason, we are here for you!

     

    Pole Fixation Fitness and Dance are a super friendly studio based at Haughton Hall Hotel, Haughton Lane, Shifnal, TF11 8HG. We offer an exciting range of classes such as pole fitness, lolipop-lyra, burlesque, personal training, flexibility and fitness and toning classes in an experienced, positive and welcoming environment.

     

    All classes are taught by an experienced, qualified and insured instructor.

    Group sessions, personal training and private lessons are available, come along on your own or get a friend involved!

    All classes are open to EVERYONE! All levels catered for, from people brand new to pole dancing, dance and fitness, right up to professional/instructor level. (Instructors to book private sessions)

    I did my first pole class yesterday and I LOVED it, can't wait to go again. Sabrina really knows her stuff and was very patient when I was wondering how I'd ever leave the floor! We had such a good laugh and Sabrina is lovely, always cheering us on and so supportive.

    Sabrina is absolutely fab!! her positive energy is infectious, she's so friendly and really motivates you to push yourself where you can.
    I've never really enjoyed physical exercise and have always been incredibly lazy, but I really enjoy the classes and it's making me more and more active. Loving it!!!!!

    I am not very strong, flexible or coordinated, can I attend classes?

    Yes, of course! At Pole Fixation Fitness and Dance we welcome everyone to classes with open
    arms. We have clients attend from all walks of life, different ages, shapes and sizes, you do not require dance or fitness experience to attend any of our classes.


    We are here to help you from the very beginning of your journey whatever your goals
    and reasons may be for joining us. You will increase fitness levels, strength, flexibility and coordination while you are training. Everyone learns new things at different rates and
    speeds therefore we adapt our classes to help support each individual with their
    journey to make sure you get the most out of your classes and find your own unique
    style.

    What do I wear?

    For burlesque, fitness and flexibility classes –
    Comfortable clothing that you can move around in, leggings/active wear are all fine. Wear
    warm clothing for stretching and flexibility classes.


    For pole dancing classes - Feel free to wear the same with a top that keeps your arms bare
    such as a tank top/vest top and have bare feet for pole dancing. As you
    progress through your pole dancing journey you will be required to wear shorts to help you grip the pole, your instructor will inform you at a later date when these will
    be needed. Please do not apply tan or moisturiser prior to your sessions as it will make you slippy on the pole.


    For all classes please remove all jewellery and watches and bring plenty of water to each session.

    How do I book?

    To book your classes, pop onto our website and visit the timetable which you can
    access by clicking the ‘book a class’ button on our website www.polefixation.com for personal training packages please email us at polefixation@gmail.com. Please note all of our classes and courses are non refundable or transferable once booking has been made so be sure you can attend the session prior to booking.

    I'm new! What can I expect in a class?

    When attending your first class, please arrive 5 minutes early to fill out a health form alternatively, you can download and fill out the health form (PARQ) from our schedule (book a class) page and email this back to us at polefixation@gmail.com prior to your first lesson . In each class everything is explained as we go along, if you are unsure about anything please feel free to ask lots of questions, your instructor is happy to re-demonstrate anything you may be unsure of.

     

    Pole dancing lessons - You will start of with a warm up, learning some transitions and getting used to the pole along with spins, poses, sits and climbs as you progress and finish the class with a cool down and full body stretch.

     

    Fitness & Toning classes - We will do a warm and get started with the exercises. Exercises are body weight and some equipment and can be adapted to suit your level. We then finish off with a cool down and full body stretch.

     

    Burlesque - We get started with a warm up and play some games to get everyone feeling comfortable, we learn burlesque moves, a routine and some floor moves followed by a stretch and cool down at the end.

     

    Personal training - All of your personal training sessions are created specifically for you and your goals. All sessions will begin and end with a warm up and cool down with exercises and activities to help you on your way to achieving your goals in the middle.

     

    Flexibility and stretch classes - All classes start off with a warm up and the sessions will include a range of dynamic, pnf, active and static stretching.

  • Phased Re-opening

    August 2020

    Students

    1. Students will need to have filled out our updated PARQ form since the lockdown and email this back to polefixation@gmail.com before their first class from August 2020, you will not be able to attend the lesson without doing so.
    2. Arrive as close to the class start time to avoid cross over of students and wait to be called in once all cleaning has been done.
    3. While waiting in the corridor for your lesson and during your training session, please maintain 2 meters social distancing. Please wear a mask when entering/exiting the hotel, using toilets and waiting for your class. You may take these off when you are by your pole.
    4. Where possible have your pole kit on under clothes to avoid changing in toilets.
    5. Wash hands before and after class, hand sanitiser is provided however, you are welcome to bring your own.
    6. Please keep personal belongings minimal when coming to class and only bring essentials such as keys, phone, grip, water and keep these in your training area. No big bags please.
    7. Please remain near your pole for your session and keep your belongings near your training area.
    8. You will be provided with a spray bottle and clean cloth for your training session, please put your cleaning cloth in the wash basket when leaving at the end of class.
    9. Do not use each others phones for pictures and videos, ask your classmate/instructor and have the pictures/videos sent over later.

    Classes

    1. During our phased re-opening classes will be small group classes and private lessons. This will be continuously reviewed following updates from the government.
    2. Students will not be sharing a pole with other students at this time.
    3. Classes will be 50 minutes long to allow for a 10 minute cleaning slot between classes.
    4. Classes will be designed to minimise the use of spotting and structured to build up technique and strength safely.
    5. Only perform activities and moves instructed by your instructor for the safety of students and the instructor. Please do not invert unless you have been specifically instructed. Although classes have been designed to be suitable for the attendees with minimal spotting required, should a student feel a taught movement is unsuitable for them for any reason the student must inform the instructor for an alternative.
    6. The instructor will perform a safety spot where danger to the student is a higher risk than the risk of Coronavirus.
    7. Where there may be the need to spot your instructor will wear a mask, work back to back, side on or behind you.

    Studio

    1. Poles have all been arranged with more 2 meters apart to comply with social distancing and the studio has fresh air ventilation.
    2. Cleaning products have been specifically chosen to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
    3. Risk assessments have been carried out and updated in accordance with government guidelines.
    4. Where social distancing may not be possible your instructor will wear a mask.
    5. Training areas, equipment and frequently touched areas will be cleaned during the 10 minute cleaning window between classes with a big clean at the end of each day.
    6. Grips aids will not be provided in class so should you require grip you will need to provide your own.

    Party Time

     


    We are available to host parties for special events such as birthday or hen celebrations, work team building and Christmas/festive parties.

     

    Events can be catered to different themes and can include burlesque or pole (or maybe even a bit of both if you would like!)

  • Terms and conditions

    1. All classes bookings are to be made via our online booking system on the Pole Fixation website.
    2. Please arrive before your class start time to make sure you are effectively warmed up and so classes run smoothly. Lateness and missing the warm up may result in being refused entry and refunds/class transfers will not be issued.
    3. All classes and courses are none transferable or refundable once the booking has been made so please make sure you can attend the session prior to booking.
    4. Students are not permitted to spot/teach or assists students in lessons under any circumstances for the safety of all students. Should a classmate require assistance please inform your instructor.
    5. All students will need to fill out a ParQ form before the first session. If you are a returning student who has not attended classes for some time you may be required to fill out an upto date form upon your return.
    6. Pole Fixation reserves the right to alter the class schedule at any time and any classes cancelled will be refunded or alternative sessions will be offered to the students.
    7. Where numbers may be low on a group class Pole Fixation reserves the right to cancel the session and offer students a private lesson as an alternative, a transfer to another class with spaces availble or a full refund for the cancelled session.
    8. Any students believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave immediately.
    9. You must always inform your instructor of any injury or illness at your session.
    10. Please remove all jewellery for sessions and do not apply any lotions/moisturiser or creams on the day of your lesson as this can result in lack of grip and create slippy equipment for yourself and other class mates.
